MCC AIQ Stray Vacancy Round 2025 — Schedule & What You Must Do

Important dates (official):
  • Registration: 4 November to 9 November 2025
  • Choice filling & locking: 5 November to 9 November 2025
  • Result (Allotment): 12 November 2025
  • Reporting at allotted college: 13 November to 20 November 2025

What is the Stray Vacancy Round? The Stray Vacancy Round is the final MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) opportunity for candidates to grab leftover AIQ / Deemed / Central University / AIIMS / JIPMER seats after Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up. If you missed earlier rounds or were not allotted a seat, this is your last formal chance under MCC to get admission through the All India counselling route.

Who can participate?

Generally, candidates who are eligible include those who:

  • Did not get any seat in previous MCC rounds (Round 1 / Round 2 / Mop-Up),
  • Have been vacated from previously allotted seats and are willing to participate, or
  • Are fresh registrants only if MCC allows — always check the official MCC notification for final eligibility details.

Step-by-step checklist (do this during registration & choice filling)

  1. Register on MCC portal between 4–9 Nov 2025. Use the same credentials you used earlier (do NOT create duplicate accounts).
  2. Verify your details — name, DOB, NEET roll number and category. Any mismatch may cause problems at reporting.
  3. Fill choices from 5–9 Nov 2025. Prioritise colleges realistically — include government options AND private backup options.
  4. Lock your choices before the deadline. Unlocked choices will not be considered.
  5. Download & keep the confirmation and login screenshots after locking choices.

Result & reporting — what to expect

The stray vacancy allotment list will be published on 12 November 2025. If you are allotted a seat, you must report physically to the allotted college between 13–20 November 2025 and complete document verification and fee payment to confirm admission. Failure to report in time will lead to loss of the allotted seat.

Documents you must carry for reporting

  • NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard (original + copy)
  • Allotment letter (downloaded from MCC)
  • Date of birth proof (10th certificate / birth certificate)
  • Class 12 marksheet & passing certificate (original + copies)
  • Category certificate (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) — valid and proper format
  • State domicile (if required by college/state)
  • ID proof (Aadhaar / Passport / Driving Licence)
  • Passport-size photographs and fee payment proof

Practical tips — do these now

  • Back up your login details: Save your MCC username and password and keep screenshots of registration and locked-choice pages.
  • Prepare scanned documents: Keep high-quality scanned PDFs and JPEGs ready for any online verification.
  • Include realistic choices: For stray vacancy, add some reachable government colleges plus a few trusted private colleges to increase allotment chances.
  • Check fee & refund policy: Know the admission fee and refund rules of the colleges you choose.

Important notes & cautions

Do not panic: Stray Vacancy is the last chance but seats are limited. Make calm, informed choices. Avoid rush decisions based on social media — always verify through official MCC website.

No reporting = seat lost: If allotment is given and you do not report within the reporting window (13–20 Nov), the seat will be cancelled and offered to the next candidate.
