Participating Colleges & Seat Matrix

Maharashtra typically has a large number of AYUSH colleges (approx. 100+ BAMS colleges including government and private), several BHMS institutes and a smaller number of BUMS colleges. Exact round-wise seat matrix will be published on the state portal — use the seat matrix PDF to identify college-wise seats and category allocation.

In Maharashtra, many students who appear for AYUSH counselling for BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS also explore admission opportunities in other states such as Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. This is mainly because the AYUSH NEET cutoff in these states is generally lower and the fee structure, especially under management quota, is more affordable compared to Maharashtra. For example, students can check the UP AYUSH State Quota NEET 2025 Round 1 PDF for BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS Category-wise Cutoff to understand how UP colleges offer seats with comparatively low ranks. Similarly, candidates who wish to explore more affordable AYUSH options can go through the MP NEET UG 2025 Round 2 AYUSH and MBBS Category-wise Cutoff PDF, which highlights the allotment details under General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and NRI categories. Many students from Maharashtra prefer these states as backup options during counselling to secure admission in reputed BAMS, BHMS, or BUMS colleges if they do not get a seat in their home state.
