KEA Karnataka UGNEET 2025: Medical Second Round Schedule, Caution Deposit and Important Rules

Who Must Pay the Caution Deposit?

  • ₹1,00,000 (one lakh) caution deposit is required to participate in Round 2 UG Medical seat allotment if you:
    • Chose Choice-3 in Round 1, or
    • Entered options in Round 1 but were not allotted any seat.
  • No caution deposit is needed for Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, Nursing, or UGCET courses.
  • If you were allotted a Medical/Dental/AYUSH seat in Round 1, selected Choice-2 and paid the fees, you do not need to pay again.
  • If you get a medical seat in Round 2, the deposit will be adjusted towards your fees.
  • If you fail to pay balance fees or don’t report to the college after allotment, the deposit is forfeited and you must pay the complete first-year fee to KEA as per rules.

Note: Choice-2 or Choice-3 options are not available in this round. Candidates who opt for Choice-1, pay the fee, and report to the college may be allowed to participate in Round 3 (subject to KEA conditions).

Option Entry Access

Only candidates who have paid the caution deposit will be allowed to re-order options based on their first-round choice selection. If a candidate fails to pay the deposit for Round 2 Medical seats, they will not be considered for Round 2 seat allotment even if options were entered earlier.

  • Keep receipts/screenshots of the caution-deposit payment.
  • Re-check your option order before the window closes (25-08-2025, 1:00 PM).
